I met Mia and her family when she was only 10 years old, when she became friends with my 10 year old daughter. We have, since then, become dear friends and this family is very special to me! When Sonja asked me to photograph Mia on the day of her Matric Farewell I was overwhelmed with joy and very excited. Mia has grown up to be a gorgeous young lady with a bright future ahead of her and I wish her all the best. Mia designed her dress herself – she made 3 sketches of what she wanted and Hettie Mills (La Magnificentia) combined them into one and made it work! The back of this dress is really to die for! Job well done Mia! While doing the shoot I just could not help being a bit emotional, realizing that our little girls are ready to spread their wings! Thank you so much Mia for sharing this special time with me and allowing me to capture these special moments! Thank you so much for being such a sport, we had a lot of fun and you made me laugh!
